Weave Your Own Mushroom Foraging Basket
Learn to weave a willow basket for your next mushroom foraging outing. Guided by Fabienne Clément of Deux sœurs dans le même panier, you will work with willow and create your own basket using the over-under weaving technique.
This three-hour, hands-on workshop brings together traditional basket weaving and mushroom foraging. With just eight participants, the small-group format leaves room for questions and guidance as you weave.
What You Will Learn
- How to work with willow to make a mushroom foraging basket.
- The over-under weaving technique, alternating willow strands over and under the basket stakes.
- How to put this technique into practice as you build your own basket.
All Materials Included
All materials needed to make your willow basket are included in the workshop fee. Leave with a basket you have woven yourself, ready for future mushroom outings.
Your Instructor – Fabienne Clément
Fabienne Clément of Deux sœurs dans le même panier will guide you through the weaving process throughout the workshop.
